Saturday 12th March - Homerton vs Jesus

The game didn't start well, with Homerton and Jesus warming up in entirely different places. However, once Homerton had arrived at Jesus Green, the match could begin, and a great match it turned out to be. The sun was even shining, something that was relatively unknown for a Homerton match and the shelter from the trees surrounding the match also meant that conditions were great for huge throws and great catches.

The match was started with Homerton on the attack, but this possession was quickly lost and almost immediately Jesus were a point ahead, with just over a minute on the clock.

Homerton quickly came back to this however, turning the scoreline around to make it 7-3 in their favour at half time, with 36 minutes gone. After the break, both teams came back well, with Jesus scoring 3 points against Homerton's man-marking, wall and cup techniques and Homerton another 2, to bring it to 9-6 when time was called.

The final point during time went to Homerton, to bring the score to 10-6 and the cap was set at 11. Shortly after this, great play and positioning from Homerton lead to the final catch of the game, bringing the final score to 11-6.

Many thanks to Jesus College for giving us such a great match and to the weather, for allowing some great plays by both teams. We look forward to meeting Jesus again soon!
